Project Details

Location Bangor, Maine
Project Cost $13.1 Million
Owner Husson College
Architect WBRC Architects
Delivery Model CM at Risk

As a result of Nickerson & O’Day, Inc’s very successful effort when building it’s new Commons (please refer to Commons project page), Husson College again turned to Nickerson & O’Day for preconstruction and construction management services for its new Meetinghouse.

Now complete, this new $13.1 million facility houses the state-of-the-art 550 seat Gracie Theatre, a first ever Alumni Center, a grand entry foyer and balcony and a new, 2-story academic wing to accommodate Hussons fast-growing program and student body.

The project was built on a fast-track, design-during-construction, guaranteed maximum price/time-and-materials basis with the academic and theatre/alumni sections separated into 2 phases. The accelerated, fast-track academic wing was completed in August of 2008 and the theatre will began shows in the Spring of 2009.
