On Thursday, May 8, under clear spring skies, crews from Nickerson & O’Day, Inc. successfully reinstalled the restored bell tower atop Monmouth Academy. This significant achievement marks a major milestone in the ongoing restoration of the historic building, originally constructed in 1803. The sound of construction equipment gave way to enthusiastic applause as the bell rang out for the first time in nearly 50 years.
