Our HUGE Nickerson O’Day crew at the new $50M Nokomis Junior and High School continue pushing forward with foundations, masonry stair towers and steel, despite the challenging weather! Across the street from the old Nokomis building, this 216,000 sf facility will open in Fall, 2019 and the old school will be demolished afterward. A tremendous asset to the Newport Region!

Nickerson O’Day is proud to announce a $15,000.00 donation to the amazing staff and administration at Downeast Community Hospital in Machias, targeted to outfit the new Children’s Exam Room in the new $4M Emergency Department Addition we just completed :). Gone are the typical blank walls and now a new, more inviting and less scary room is available for their youngest patients! Great folks who do a fantastic job! Happy to help “give back”!

Nickerson O’Day had no sooner finished a massive, $1.2M boat storage facility for Hinckley Yachts in Southwest Harbor last month when BOOM! …..it was completely FULL! Kudos to PM Jason Lane and Superintendent Ellery Tracy for a great job satisfying a great client! Thank you, Hinckley Yachts!

On December 15, we at Nickerson & O’Day were privileged to make our 5th annual donation by delivering a truckload of food/essential items to the OHI Brewer Food Pantry on Main Street in Brewer! It was a pleasure to help the families’ in need this Christmas season!

On December 14, Nickerson O’Day was informed that we have been named by the John Bapst Memorial High School Board of Trustees as the Construction Manager for the new John Bapst Gymnasium, Cafeteria, Fitness Center and Innovation/Engineering Center Project!

This is the largest addition and fundraising campaign in Bapst’s 90-year history and will substantially grow the Broadway Campus. Many thanks to the Administration & Trustees of John Bapst for entrusting this wonderful project to our team. We can assure you that we will do our absolute best work!

Monday night, as we do every year, Nickerson & O’Day teamed up with the great men and women of Bangor Fire Department to go on a huge “shopping spree” to support Toys for Tots! Our Office Manager, Casey Crocker brought along her 3 kids and they had a BLAST, knowing that they were helping to provide Christmas joy to less fortunate kids who, otherwise, would have no toys under the tree on Christmas morning. Many thanks to Jared Bowden, Andy Willigar, and the gang at Bangor Fire for once again, going above and beyond the call of duty to make this season bright! Merry Christmas, everyone!
