Project Details

Location Orono, Maine
Project Cost $1.2 Million
Owner Church of Universal Fellowship
Architect WBRC Architects/Engineers
Delivery Model CM at Risk

The Church of Universal Fellowship on Main Street in Orono required almost double the space it had and needed to renovate the old Parsonage into updated office space. The existing city lot was completely covered with buildings. An obsolete connector set on a side hill with a major drainage structure under it between the Parsonage and the existing church were removed. In it’s place a new three story education, social and meeting area connector building was placed along with a newly developed front entrance and gardens into the church.

Very troublesome soils conditions, a tricky existing structural configuration and virtually no storage or lay-down areas made for an interesting experience.
