Incorporated in 1955 by founders Leroy Nickerson and Gerry O’Day,
Nickerson & O’Day has an established tradition of providing
honest, quality services to the people of Eastern and Central Maine. With more than 55
years of growth and experience in the construction business,
Nickerson & O’Day has become an integral part of the extended
greater-Bangor community. Our philosophy is simple and
old-fashioned:
- Stick With What You Know
- No Surprises to the Owner
- Think Like the Owner (Listen)
- Be Open, Honest and Complete
Our fervent adherence to these core principles has allowed us
to prosper as Greater Bangor's top commercial builder for over
half a century, and boast a repeat business rate of 80%.
In the past 27 years of business 100% of over 700 projects have
come in under budget.
Nickerson & O'Day has one of the lowest bonding
rates in the State of Maine
and an annual volume of roughly $30 million. As the best rated firm
in it's 35 member workers compensation
insurance trust, we enjoy an average 32% discount under the
typical
company's insurance costs. We offer the following services:
- Traditional "Design, Bid, Build,"
- Construction Manager at Risk,
- Design/Build "Turnkey,"
- Adaptive reuse of existing buildings,
- Fast tracking for expedited completion,
- LEED Design and Construction
These considerations, along with our strong relationships
with the area's best vendors and subcontractors, means that Nickerson &
O'Day can offer high quality results on schedule and with the
lowest possible cost.
